Revenue rose 25% inits latest quarter, and it's well on its way to topping $3 billion in revenue for all of 2021. Most people are fine using the free features on dating apps, but the number of paying users across all of Match Group's properties has risen 16% over the past year. Revenue per payer has risen by 6%.</p>\n<p>Tinder is the top draw here, accounting for almost two-thirds of its premium users. It saw its direct revenue rise 20%, and the balance of Match Group's other properties saw direct revenue soar 32%. We asked some of our contributors for their top stocks to buy before 2021 ends. Here's why&nbsp;<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/MMP\"><b>Magellan Midstream Partners</b>&nbsp;</a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/BEPC\"><b>Brookfield Renewable</b></a>, and&nbsp;<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/CAT\"><b>Caterpillar</b></a>&nbsp;topped their lists.</p>\n<p><b>Reuben Gregg Brewer(Magellan Midstream Partners):</b>Midstreammaster limited partnership(MLP) Magellan Midstream Partners' business got hit really hard in the early days of the pandemic. That's not shocking given the downturn in demand in the broader energy sector as economies around the world were, effectively, closed in an attempt to slow the spread of the coronavirus. Travel was a big issue with Magellan, given that roughly 70% of its operating margin comes from refined products pipelines (the rest is from oil pipelines). So falling demand for things like gasoline and jet fuel led to a reduction in demand for Magellan's fee-basedenergyassets.</p>\n<p>In fact, at the start of 2021 investors were worried that Magellan might cut its distribution after having increased it annually since its 2001initial public offering. Magellan itself warned that distributable cash flow coverage could be tight, perhaps as low as 1.1 times. However, in the end, the midstream company's business picked up more quickly than expected and coverage is now projected to be 1.2 times in 2021 (in line with the MLP's long-term targets) and it raised the distribution in the third quarter, keeping its annual streak alive.</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/888a2a7fb99d5200a2e8927141c2b6bd\" tg-width=\"720\" tg-height=\"517\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"></p>\n<p>MMP FINANCIAL DEBT TO EBITDA (TTM)DATA BYYCHARTS</p>\n<p>Essentially, Magellan muddled through a very difficult market in relative stride. That was helped along by its strongbalance sheet, with financial debt to equity almost always at the low end of its peer group. And yet the MLP's yield, at around 9.1%, is still one of the highest in the group and at the top end of its historical range. If you are looking for a high yield, you should take a close look at Magellan while it's still deeply out of favor.</p>\n<p><b>Matt DiLallo&nbsp;(Brookfield Renewable):</b>&nbsp;Shares of Brookfield Renewable have cooled off considerably in 2021. Therenewable energy&nbsp;juggernaut has steadily declined all year and is currently more than 40% below its January peak. That's quite the reversal from 2020 when Brookfield Renewable more than doubled.</p>\n<p>While 2020's rally seemed a bit excessive, this year's sell-off looks like an overcorrection. Brookfield Renewable is having an excellent year. The company generated record funds from operations (FFO) in the recently reported third quarter -- up 32% year over year -- as its growth strategy continues to pay dividends. Overall, FFO per share is up nearly 20% through the first nine months of 2021.</p>\n<p>Brookfield also made excellent progress on its long-term growth strategy. The company advanced the construction of several development projects, significantly expanded its development pipeline, and invested $600 million across several transactions. It has also emerged as a partner of choice for companies seeking to reduce their carbon emissions. These factors have helped set the stage for future growth. Because of that, Brookfield anticipates growing its FFO per share by as much as 20% per year through 2026.</p>\n<p>With shares tumbling 40% this year, Brookfield trades at about 21 times its FFO. That's a very reasonable price to pay for a company that appears poised to grow at a double-digit rate for years to come. Add in its attractive dividend, which currently yields 3.4% after this year's sell-off, and Brookfield Renewable stands out as a great stock to buy before the end of the year.</p>\n<p><b>Neha Chamaria(Caterpillar):</b>The omicron coronavirus variant has renewed fears of another phase of lockdown that could dent global economic growth and has made investors in leading manufacturing companies like Caterpillar cautious in recent weeks. Yet, Caterpillar is on strong footing, and a long-term investor should find the stock attractive at the current price.</p>\n<p>Caterpillar delivered a solid third quarter, growing its revenue by 25% and adjusted earnings per share by 75% year over year. Importantly, Caterpillar's sales volumes surged on higher end-user demand for heavy machinery across all three segments:constructionindustries, resource industries, and energy and transportation.</p>\n<p>In fact, Caterpillar cited strong demand as one reason why its dealer inventories hit multi-year lows in Q3. Caterpillar banks on its vast global dealership network for sales, with declining dealer inventory hinting at higher potential demand for Caterpillar's equipment in the coming months as dealers restock.</p>\n<p>Caterpillar chose not to provide any guidance given the supply chain and other macroeconomic uncertainties, but management projected stronger revenue in the fourth quarter versus Q3 and expects to end the year with robust cash flows. That also means investors can easily expect Caterpillar to increase its dividend for the 28th straight year in 2022 and continue to repurchase shares. While many high-growth companies saw some of the steam come out of their rally in recent weeks, barring a last-minute sell-off, theS&P 500is on track to end the year up about 20%.\nDespite that big rally, several stocks look like great buys heading into 2022. We asked some of our contributors for their top stocks to buy before 2021 ends. Here's why Magellan Midstream Partners , Brookfield Renewable, and Caterpillar topped their lists.\nReuben Gregg Brewer(Magellan Midstream Partners):Midstreammaster limited partnership(MLP) Magellan Midstream Partners' business got hit really hard in the early days of the pandemic. That's not shocking given the downturn in demand in the broader energy sector as economies around the world were, effectively, closed in an attempt to slow the spread of the coronavirus. Travel was a big issue with Magellan, given that roughly 70% of its operating margin comes from refined products pipelines (the rest is from oil pipelines). So falling demand for things like gasoline and jet fuel led to a reduction in demand for Magellan's fee-basedenergyassets.\nIn fact, at the start of 2021 investors were worried that Magellan might cut its distribution after having increased it annually since its 2001initial public offering. Magellan itself warned that distributable cash flow coverage could be tight, perhaps as low as 1.1 times. However, in the end, the midstream company's business picked up more quickly than expected and coverage is now projected to be 1.2 times in 2021 (in line with the MLP's long-term targets) and it raised the distribution in the third quarter, keeping its annual streak alive.\n\nMMP FINANCIAL DEBT TO EBITDA (TTM)DATA BYYCHARTS\nEssentially, Magellan muddled through a very difficult market in relative stride. That was helped along by its strongbalance sheet, with financial debt to equity almost always at the low end of its peer group. And yet the MLP's yield, at around 9.1%, is still one of the highest in the group and at the top end of its historical range. If you are looking for a high yield, you should take a close look at Magellan while it's still deeply out of favor.\nMatt DiLallo (Brookfield Renewable): Shares of Brookfield Renewable have cooled off considerably in 2021. Therenewable energy juggernaut has steadily declined all year and is currently more than 40% below its January peak. That's quite the reversal from 2020 when Brookfield Renewable more than doubled.\nWhile 2020's rally seemed a bit excessive, this year's sell-off looks like an overcorrection. Brookfield Renewable is having an excellent year. The company generated record funds from operations (FFO) in the recently reported third quarter -- up 32% year over year -- as its growth strategy continues to pay dividends. Overall, FFO per share is up nearly 20% through the first nine months of 2021.\nBrookfield also made excellent progress on its long-term growth strategy. The company advanced the construction of several development projects, significantly expanded its development pipeline, and invested $600 million across several transactions. It has also emerged as a partner of choice for companies seeking to reduce their carbon emissions. These factors have helped set the stage for future growth. Because of that, Brookfield anticipates growing its FFO per share by as much as 20% per year through 2026.\nWith shares tumbling 40% this year, Brookfield trades at about 21 times its FFO. That's a very reasonable price to pay for a company that appears poised to grow at a double-digit rate for years to come. Add in its attractive dividend, which currently yields 3.4% after this year's sell-off, and Brookfield Renewable stands out as a great stock to buy before the end of the year.\nNeha Chamaria(Caterpillar):The omicron coronavirus variant has renewed fears of another phase of lockdown that could dent global economic growth and has made investors in leading manufacturing companies like Caterpillar cautious in recent weeks. Yet, Caterpillar is on strong footing, and a long-term investor should find the stock attractive at the current price.\nCaterpillar delivered a solid third quarter, growing its revenue by 25% and adjusted earnings per share by 75% year over year. Importantly, Caterpillar's sales volumes surged on higher end-user demand for heavy machinery across all three segments:constructionindustries, resource industries, and energy and transportation.\nIn fact, Caterpillar cited strong demand as one reason why its dealer inventories hit multi-year lows in Q3. Caterpillar banks on its vast global dealership network for sales, with declining dealer inventory hinting at higher potential demand for Caterpillar's equipment in the coming months as dealers restock.\nCaterpillar chose not to provide any guidance given the supply chain and other macroeconomic uncertainties, but management projected stronger revenue in the fourth quarter versus Q3 and expects to end the year with robust cash flows. They found&nbsp;<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/SPWR\"><b>SunPower</b></a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AY\"><b>Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure</b></a>, and&nbsp;<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/CHPT\"><b>ChargePoint Holdings</b></a>&nbsp;to be a cut above the rest.</p>\n<p><b>Travis Hoium(SunPower):</b>In 2021, I think we saw a shift in how consumers see electricity markets and their own energy independence. Not only are residential solar installations in the U.S. at record highs, an increasing percentage of customers are also adding energy storage and EV charging to their installations. This plays to SunPower's strengths as an energy solutions company.</p>\n<p>SunPower has shed its solar module manufacturing business, its utility-scale solar business, and is in the process of finding strategic alternatives for its commercial solar business. That leaves its focus squarely on residential solar, and it shows. Its non-GAAP gross margin per watt for residential projects jumped from $0.46 to $0.69 over the past year. At the same time, its net recourse debt declined from $428 million to $154 million.</p>\n<p>Fewer subsidies may be bad newsfor solar energy companies, but that won't halt the industry's growth nor will it eliminate people's desire to buy rooftop solar systems or EV chargers. I think SunPower is well-positioned to ride the coming wave of growth, and that's why I think 2022 will be a great year for the stock.</p>\n<p><b>Howard Smith(Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure)</b>: Nations and businesses around the world are increasingly investing in renewable energy infrastructure. As that infrastructure grows, so too do the power purchase agreements that companies are signing with owners of those assets to bolster sustainability initiatives. The majority of Atlantica Sustainable's power generation comes from renewable energy, but it also has efficient natural gas plants and owns electricity transmission lines and water desalination facilities.</p>\n<p>Most of its renewable energy comes from solar assets, and all of those are generating revenues under long-term contracts. For investors, that means the company's dividend, which at current share prices yields around 4.8%, should be reliable. In fact, over the first nine months of 2021, its cash available for distribution increased 12.9% year over year. Its revenues grew 8.4% in the same period, excluding foreign currency impacts and a non-recurring project.</p>\n<p>Renewables contributed 77% of Atlantica's revenue through Sept. 30. In addition to North America, the company has assets in South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. But the vast majority of its 2021 new investments have been in North America. Thanks to the recently enacted infrastructure bill and the potential passage of legislation routing additional funds to U.S. renewable energy development, there should be no lack of assets with which to grow in coming years.</p>\n<p>Atlantica Sustainable also looks like a good value compared to its peers right now. The charts below show itsdividend yieldexceeds that of two other renewable energy asset owners, and it trades at a more favorable valuation.</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/36f6c35975406c560a29e97949abff9e\" tg-width=\"720\" tg-height=\"387\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\">DATA BYYCHARTS</p>\n<p>Through 2025, the company expects 73% of its cash available for distribution to come from renewable assets, and geographically, almost half will come from North America. Given the company's assets and investments in a region that has committed to growing its renewable energy sources, this is a good time to own Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure.</p>\n<p><b>Daniel Foelber&nbsp;(ChargePoint Holdings):</b>If you step back and think about the ongoing national transition from vehicles powered by internal combustion to those powered by electricity, it quickly becomes clear the U.S. is going to need far more electric vehicle (EV) chargers. That's why $7.5 billion of President Biden's Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Actis earmarked for expanding the nation's EV chargingcapabilities. Like many industries dependent on hardware and high costs, the risk for businesses in this space is that EV chargers will become commoditized, and that businesses and consumers will simply choose the providers that offer the lowest-cost solutions.</p>\n<p>ChargePoint can't bypass this risk, but it has done a great job building a vertically integrated, capital-light business, and it's nowthe U.S. leaderin its niche. In the case of ChargePoint, \"capital-light\" means that it doesn't need to spend heavily to grow its revenue because it sells its hardware upfront. Over time, its growing charging network should generate greater recurring revenue through software subscriptions. But for now, subscriptions account for less than 30% of total revenue.</p>\n<p>ChargePoint expects its business to grow in lockstep with U.S. EV sales. Despite their growth, so far, EVs are only on course to account for 4% of U.S. car sales in 2021, compared to 9% in China and 14% in Europe. That leaves plenty of room for ChargePoint's business to scale and reach profitability.</p>\n<p>As ChargePoint waits for EV adoption to accelerate, it has built a larger and more sophisticated network of charging ports. As of Oct. 31, it had 163,000 activated ports around the world, roughly 7% of which are DC fast-charging ports.&nbsp;For comparison, consider that the&nbsp;<b>Tesla</b>&nbsp;Supercharger network consists of just over 30,000 fast-charging ports.</p>\n<p>Management has forecast that ChargePoint will finish its fiscal 2022 (which ends on Jan. 31) with annual revenues of between $235 million and $240 million -- up more than 60% from fiscal 2021. Also impressive is the company's non-GAAP gross margin, which was 27% in the fiscal third quarter compared to 20% in the prior-year period. ChargePoint stands out as a fast-growing business that willflex its industry-leading position to pull away from the competition.</p>\n<p>Renewable energy stocksmay not be ending 2021 on a high note, but that doesn't mean the long-term trends aren't heading in the right direction. Given the company's assets and investments in a region that has committed to growing its renewable energy sources, this is a good time to own Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure.\nDaniel Foelber (ChargePoint Holdings):If you step back and think about the ongoing national transition from vehicles powered by internal combustion to those powered by electricity, it quickly becomes clear the U.S. is going to need far more electric vehicle (EV) chargers. That's why $7.5 billion of President Biden's Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Actis earmarked for expanding the nation's EV chargingcapabilities. Like many industries dependent on hardware and high costs, the risk for businesses in this space is that EV chargers will become commoditized, and that businesses and consumers will simply choose the providers that offer the lowest-cost solutions.\nChargePoint can't bypass this risk, but it has done a great job building a vertically integrated, capital-light business, and it's nowthe U.S. leaderin its niche. In the case of ChargePoint, \"capital-light\" means that it doesn't need to spend heavily to grow its revenue because it sells its hardware upfront. Over time, its growing charging network should generate greater recurring revenue through software subscriptions. But for now, subscriptions account for less than 30% of total revenue.\nChargePoint expects its business to grow in lockstep with U.S. EV sales. Despite their growth, so far, EVs are only on course to account for 4% of U.S. car sales in 2021, compared to 9% in China and 14% in Europe. That leaves plenty of room for ChargePoint's business to scale and reach profitability.\nAs ChargePoint waits for EV adoption to accelerate, it has built a larger and more sophisticated network of charging ports. As of Oct. 31, it had 163,000 activated ports around the world, roughly 7% of which are DC fast-charging ports. For comparison, consider that the Tesla Supercharger network consists of just over 30,000 fast-charging ports.\nManagement has forecast that ChargePoint will finish its fiscal 2022 (which ends on Jan. 31) with annual revenues of between $235 million and $240 million -- up more than 60% from fiscal 2021. Also impressive is the company's non-GAAP gross margin, which was 27% in the fiscal third quarter compared to 20% in the prior-year period.
