The pandemic curve may be slowing, but anyone who’s a knowledge worker knows Zoom is essential. Teams is horrible. Even when the occasional office day arises, it’s still packed with Zoom calls all day. There’s no escaping the remote workforce. Our teams are geographically scattered. Even if you go in person it’s still a day full of Zoom calls. Even if your team uses Teams they still say “let’s jump on a Zoom.” When hosting important large events Zoom is more reliable, has far better audio/video than any other platform, breakout groups work as intended. Zoom might not be close to $500 right now, but this thing is way way oversold given their market position. The licenses are expensive and major organizations have embedded ZM into their operations. The pandemic might fade but it’s accelerate
