BacTech Environmental Corp. An added bonus is its ability to recover valuable metals such as gold, silver, cobalt and nickel that remain in the tailings. In addition, the Company, along with Laurentian University in Sudbury, Canada, is investigating the use of bioleaching to treat high grade gold/arsenic concentrates produced by artisanal miners in Ecuador. Bioleaching produces an EPA approved landfill material for disposal. Bioleaching is an environmental reclamation solution that also creates a profit.
