I am not a geopolitical expert dealing in Europe matters. But in recent days, there have been increasing level of reports stating that Russia has been deploying troops around Ukraine.

Even Joe Biden was reportedly mentioning that the different tiers of actions that may be taken by Russia and how US will respond accordingly. What I am truly worried about is an increasingly divisive world. This is not good for the world's development and economic development. Why?

War or disputes block human's development. In the face of global climate issues, who needs more disturbance in the form of disorder in such matters. I do not know who is right or which press is reporting correctly. But what I want to mention is can we work towards a cooperative world where each country will help one another? In the clash of the systems, it may not be easy as different people with different cultural background live and deal with matters differently for so many years. How can we expect them to live the same manner as what we have been living and doing things.

While I do hope for world peace, there are more signals showing an increasing level of volatility not only in financial markets but also in the social and country's level. Unless there is an intentional effort to come together to create a win-win situation, there is unlikely to be a "low volatility world peace".

With regard to capital deployment, I continue to hold some cash on the sideline on top of my rainy days funds. Buy the dip strategy in US selected tech stocks may not work so fast now despite last night late night rebound. It would be best to see if Nasdaq 100 can hold 13,700 level and 14,100 level before I reassess whether to take up any positions in selected US tech or when they have hit ridiculously cheap pricing. I continue to load up on certain selected Chinese tech stocks with good growth prospects, high level of cash, etc. I will be posting a youtube video on some of the Chinese tech stocks that I own.
