Hoshine Silicon Industry (SHA:603260) said lower revenue from the industrial silicon and silicone businesses was a major factor behind the significant decline in its operating revenue in 2025, according to a Saturday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
The silicon-based materials maker's shares dropped 4% in recent trade.
The company made the explanation in response to an inquiry from the Shanghai Stock Exchange seeking details on the factors behind the sharp decline in its 2025 results.
The attributable net loss during the fourth quarter of 2025 was 2.67 billion yuan, accounting for 89.2% of the company's full-year loss of 2.99 billion yuan, which was the company's first annual loss since its listing. Operating revenue for the year dropped 23% to 20.5 billion yuan.
