stocks in the crypto space struggled today, along with lots of other stocks that took a hit after the Federal Reserve released minutes from its December meeting today.

Shares of the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase Global(NASDAQ:COIN)fell more than 6.3% today, while shares of the crypto bank Silvergate Capital(NYSE:SI)fell nearly 10%. Shares of the digital asset wallet company Bakkt Holdings(NYSE:BKKT)fell nearly 18%.

So what

Minutes from the Fed's December meeting sent the market into a free-fall, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average going from being up on the day just before 2 p.m. ET to ending the day down 400 points. The Nasdaq Composite took the minutes even harder, going from being down some in the afternoon to ending the day down 3.34%.

Investors have been heavily adapting their trading strategies since November. That's because the Fed has indicated that it plans to wind down the bond purchases that it began early in the pandemic potentially as soon as March, and then potentially raise its benchmark overnight borrowing rate multiple times this year.

The surprise in the Fed's recent meeting minutes came from the fact that members of the Fed are considering decreasing the size of its balance sheet, which is now close to $9 trillion. "Almost all participants agreed that it would likely be appropriate to initiate balance sheet runoff at some point after the first increase in the target range for the federal funds rate," the Fed's minutes stated. The minutes also stated that "the decision to initiate runoff would be data dependent."

Jay Hatfield, CEO of Infrastructure Capital Management, said that balance sheet runoff would be "disastrous," according to CNBC. "I assume that they're going to keep the balance sheet flat, but it is possible if inflation stays really hot that they start letting the balance sheet run off," he said.

When the Fed reduces its balance sheet, that means it's selling assets like Treasuries and mortgage-backed securities back into the market, which effectively removes liquidity. It would be in pretty stark contrast to what the Fed has been doing for nearly two years now, which is injecting liquidity into the system. "You don't want to be in the stock market when the Fed is taking liquidity out of it -- it's like being in Coke when Warren Buffett is selling his position," Hatfield said.

Coinbase, Silvergate Capital, and Bakkt are largely considered tech stocks, even though Silvergate is a licensed bank, but they also trade in correlation to cryptocurrencies to varying degrees. So far, cryptocurrencies have largely reacted to the Fed's recent moves like tech and growth stocks.

Now what

In a rising-rate environment, profitability at Silvergate is actually projected to soar because the bank has billions of excess deposits it could invest in higher-yielding loans and securities. But if the Fed moves to reduce its balance sheet and remove liquidity, that would likely be detrimental to many growth and tech stocks, which have benefited from the excess liquidity.

It's a bit harder to predict how cryptocurrencies will perform in that kind of environment, as some think that certain cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin can hedge inflation. One thing that is definitely not virtual -- but real -- is the effect that the CES presentations seem to be having on tech stock prices, and semiconductor stocks in particular.

As chipmakers demo their wares today, shares of Intel(NASDAQ:INTC)(a "featured exhibitor" at CES 2022) are enjoying a nice 1.4% pop in afternoon trading, as of 4 p.m. ET. In contrast, Intel rivals Nvidia(NASDAQ:NVDA)and Advanced Micro Devices(NASDAQ:AMD)are moving in the opposite direction -- down 5.8% and 5.7%, respectively.

So what

So did Intel buy itself a pass on the chipmaker stock price declines, along with its "featured exhibitor" status at CES?

Not exactly. But investors do seem to be taking a shine to Intel's products unveiled at the show, and seem to be thinking that they position Intel's stock (if not necessarily Intel's business) to outperform its rivals in the coming year. AsIGN Entertainmentreported yesterday, "Intel is planning to take on AMD and Nvidia in the GPU market this year, with its first generation of Arc series GPUs codenamed Alchemist slated to release sometime early this year."

Granted, AMD and Nvidia are also focusing heavily on graphics this year (graphics being the historical roots of each of these companies). Yesterday, for example, data analytics company Lynxhighlighted the more than two dozen new chips that AMD will bring to market in 2022, with emphasis on the Radeon RX 6000S and RX 6000M chips for gaming laptops. And IGN seemed particularly impressed by the prospect of Nvidia bringing to market a new "RTX 3090 Ti" chip with "24GB of GDDR6X VRAM and 40 teraflops of GPU performance."

Translating the tech-speak into English, IGN helpfully explained that this chip, when it comes to market, will be "roughly 11% faster than its non-Ti RTX 3090 variant."

Now what

At least one analyst still thinks the advantage lies with Intel, however. One thing that is definitely not virtual -- but real -- is the effect that the CES presentations seem to be having on tech stock prices, and semiconductor stocks in particular. As chipmakers demo their wares today, shares of Intel(NASDAQ:INTC)(a \"featured exhibitor\" at CES 2022) are enjoying a nice 1.4% pop in afternoon trading, as of 4 p.m. ET. In contrast, Intel rivals Nvidia(NASDAQ:NVDA)and Advanced Micro Devices(NASDAQ:AMD)are moving in the opposite direction -- down 5.8% and 5.7%, respectively. So whatSo did Intel buy itself a pass on the chipmaker stock price declines, along with its \"featured exhibitor\" status at CES?Not exactly. But investors do seem to be taking a shine to Intel's products unveiled at the show, and seem to be thinking that they position Intel's stock (if not necessarily Intel's business) to outperform its rivals in the coming year. AsIGN Entertainmentreported yesterday, \"Intel is planning to take on AMD and Nvidia in the GPU market this year, with its first generation of Arc series GPUs codenamed Alchemist slated to release sometime early this year.\"Granted, AMD and Nvidia are also focusing heavily on graphics this year (graphics being the historical roots of each of these companies). Yesterday, for example, data analytics company Lynxhighlighted the more than two dozen new chips that AMD will bring to market in 2022, with emphasis on the Radeon RX 6000S and RX 6000M chips for gaming laptops. And IGN seemed particularly impressed by the prospect of Nvidia bringing to market a new \"RTX 3090 Ti\" chip with \"24GB of GDDR6X VRAM and 40 teraflops of GPU performance.\"Translating the tech-speak into English, IGN helpfully explained that this chip, when it comes to market, will be \"roughly 11% faster than its non-Ti RTX 3090 variant.\"Now whatAt least one analyst still thinks the advantage lies with Intel, however. In a note out this morning, Northland Capital Markets said it isupgradingIntel stock to outperform based on its view that Intel has laid out for investors a coherent strategy to reverse its decline \"for the first time in many years,\" reportsStreetInsider.com.Beyond just Intel's efforts to compete with AMD and Nvidia in graphics, Northland believes that Intel is upping its game in basic chip technology, to the point that it could \"significantly reduce the AMD/INTC performance gap if not eliminate it in 2023.\" Northland sees Intel collaborating with Taiwan Semiconductor on production of next generation 3 nm and even 2 nm semiconductors, and refocusing its internal efforts on \"manufacturing [static random access memory chips] which dominate modern CPU die area.\"More significant for investors, Northland simply thinks that Intel stock at less than 10 times earnings is a better bargain than \"high multiple stocks\" such as AMD (which costs 43 times earnings today) and Nvidia (which costs 93 times earnings). No, a polishing cloth isn’t the same as a car, but brand loyalty can go a long way.

Innovation will be key

For Apple to pull any of this off, and more, it will have to continue to invest heavily in research and development. Higher interest rates, which counter inflation, are also sparking fears of an economic slowdown and causing investors to rotate from dividend stocks toward lower-risk bonds.
\n
Faced with these challenges, it might seem like a bad idea to buy dividend-paying tech stocks. However, these four tech dividend stocks should remain resilient and easily withstand the upcoming inflation-related challenges.
\n
\n
1. Apple
\n
Apple only pays a forward dividend yield of 0.5%, but its lowpayout ratioof 15% indicates there's still plenty of room for much higher payments. Apple's stock price has risen nearly 270% over the past three years, but it still doesn't look terribly expensive at 29 times forward earnings.
\n
Apple is an inflation-resistant company for two simple reasons. First, it has the clout to negotiate more favorable prices from its suppliers. Second, it probably won't lose a lot of its loyal customers if it charges higher prices for its hardware since they're already firmly locked into its software ecosystem.
\n
Apple has also consistently executed big stock buybacks, which have reduced its outstanding shares by nearly 22% over the past five years. Spending more cash on those buybacks, which boosts the value of its remaining shares, is a better strategy than letting its cash stagnate in an inflationary environment.
\n
Apple will face a near-term slowdown as it grapples with supply chain constraints, but its long-term outlook is still bright. Its services ecosystem continues to expand, and it will eventually expand into new next-gen markets like augmented reality, virtual reality, and connected cars.
\n
2. Verizon
\n
Verizon pays a forward dividend yield of 5%. The telecom giant has raised that dividend annually for 15 straight years, and it's spent less than half of its earnings per share on those payments over the past 12 months. The stock also trades at just nine times forward earnings.
\n
At first glance, Verizon seems like a lackluster investment. It's declined more than 10% over the past three years as the S&P 500 has risen nearly 70%.
\n
However, Verizon's stock will likely remain stable as rising inflation and higher interest rates rattle the markets. As the largest wireless carrier in the U.S., Verizon can likely pass on most of its higher costs onto consumers without significantly increasing its churn rates. It's also a more streamlined company than AT&T, which is still trying toundo the damageof the debt-fueled expansions of its media and pay-TV ecosystems.
\n
Verizon's stable returns, sticky ecosystem, high dividend, and low valuation will all make it an ideal safe-haven stock in an inflationary market.
\n
3. Qualcomm
\n
Qualcomm, one of the world's largest mobile chipmakers, pays a forward dividend yield of 1.5%. It's raised its annual payout over the past two years, and it's only spent about a third of its earnings on its dividends over the past 12 months.
\n
Qualcomm's two main businesses are both well-insulated from inflation. Its Snapdragon system on chips (SoCs), which bundle together a mobile CPU, GPU, and baseband modem, power most of the world's high-end smartphones. They can also be found in virtual reality headsets, cars, and drones. The secular growth of those markets will give Qualcomm plenty of pricing power.
\n
Its licensing business, which leverages its portfolio of wireless patents to earn a cut of every smartphone sold worldwide, also generates a stable stream of high-margin revenue. It then plows a large portion of that excess cash into big buybacks and dividends.
\n
Qualcomm's stock has already risen more than 200% as investors have recognized those long-term strengths, but it still looks cheap at 17 times forward earnings.
\n
4. Texas Instruments
\n
Texas Instruments manufactures a wide range of analog and embedded chips for consumer electronics, cars, industrial machines, and other markets. These chips aren't as powerful as Qualcomm's mobile chips, but they're just as essential and less capital-intensive to produce.
\n
Unlike Qualcomm, which outsources the production of its chips to third-party foundries, TI manufactures its own chips in-house. That business model insulates it from the ongoing chip shortage, and its cost-cutting migration from 200mm to 300mm wafers over the past few years enabled it to significantly reduce its own manufacturing costs and boost its gross margins.
\n
TI's business is naturally resistant to inflation since it has much better control over its own supply chain and operating expenses than other chipmakers, and it generates plenty of excess cash for buybacks and dividends. Higher interest rates, which counter inflation, are also sparking fears of an economic slowdown and causing investors to rotate from dividend stocks toward lower-risk bonds.\nFaced with these challenges, it might seem like a bad idea to buy dividend-paying tech stocks. However, these four tech dividend stocks should remain resilient and easily withstand the upcoming inflation-related challenges.\nImage source: Apple.\n1. Apple\nApple only pays a forward dividend yield of 0.5%, but its lowpayout ratioof 15% indicates there's still plenty of room for much higher payments. Apple's stock price has risen nearly 270% over the past three years, but it still doesn't look terribly expensive at 29 times forward earnings.\nApple is an inflation-resistant company for two simple reasons. First, it has the clout to negotiate more favorable prices from its suppliers. Second, it probably won't lose a lot of its loyal customers if it charges higher prices for its hardware since they're already firmly locked into its software ecosystem.\nApple has also consistently executed big stock buybacks, which have reduced its outstanding shares by nearly 22% over the past five years. Spending more cash on those buybacks, which boosts the value of its remaining shares, is a better strategy than letting its cash stagnate in an inflationary environment.\nApple will face a near-term slowdown as it grapples with supply chain constraints, but its long-term outlook is still bright. Its services ecosystem continues to expand, and it will eventually expand into new next-gen markets like augmented reality, virtual reality, and connected cars.\n2. Verizon\nVerizon pays a forward dividend yield of 5%. The telecom giant has raised that dividend annually for 15 straight years, and it's spent less than half of its earnings per share on those payments over the past 12 months. The stock also trades at just nine times forward earnings.\nAt first glance, Verizon seems like a lackluster investment. It's declined more than 10% over the past three years as the S&P 500 has risen nearly 70%.\nHowever, Verizon's stock will likely remain stable as rising inflation and higher interest rates rattle the markets. As the largest wireless carrier in the U.S., Verizon can likely pass on most of its higher costs onto consumers without significantly increasing its churn rates. It's also a more streamlined company than AT&T, which is still trying toundo the damageof the debt-fueled expansions of its media and pay-TV ecosystems.\nVerizon's stable returns, sticky ecosystem, high dividend, and low valuation will all make it an ideal safe-haven stock in an inflationary market.\n3. Qualcomm\nQualcomm, one of the world's largest mobile chipmakers, pays a forward dividend yield of 1.5%. It's raised its annual payout over the past two years, and it's only spent about a third of its earnings on its dividends over the past 12 months.\nQualcomm's two main businesses are both well-insulated from inflation. Its Snapdragon system on chips (SoCs), which bundle together a mobile CPU, GPU, and baseband modem, power most of the world's high-end smartphones. They can also be found in virtual reality headsets, cars, and drones. The secular growth of those markets will give Qualcomm plenty of pricing power.\nIts licensing business, which leverages its portfolio of wireless patents to earn a cut of every smartphone sold worldwide, also generates a stable stream of high-margin revenue. It then plows a large portion of that excess cash into big buybacks and dividends.\nQualcomm's stock has already risen more than 200% as investors have recognized those long-term strengths, but it still looks cheap at 17 times forward earnings.\n4. Texas Instruments\nTexas Instruments manufactures a wide range of analog and embedded chips for consumer electronics, cars, industrial machines, and other markets. These chips aren't as powerful as Qualcomm's mobile chips, but they're just as essential and less capital-intensive to produce.\nUnlike Qualcomm, which outsources the production of its chips to third-party foundries, TI manufactures its own chips in-house. That business model insulates it from the ongoing chip shortage, and its cost-cutting migration from 200mm to 300mm wafers over the past few years enabled it to significantly reduce its own manufacturing costs and boost its gross margins.\nTI's business is naturally resistant to inflation since it has much better control over its own supply chain and operating expenses than other chipmakers, and it generates plenty of excess cash for buybacks and dividends. It reduced its number of outstanding shares by 46% between 2004 and 2020, and it's raised its dividend annually for 18 straight years. It currently pays a forward dividend yield of 2.4%, which is supported by a sustainable payout ratio of 52%.\nTI's stock has more than doubled over the past three years, but it still trades at 23 times forward earnings. That reasonable valuation, along with its healthy yield and stable business, makes TI a reliable and inflation-resistant tech stock.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":295,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":606510189,"gmtCreate":1638891484136,"gmtModify":1638891484215,"author":{"id":"4087711900619250","authorId":"4087711900619250","name":"Moneywizpd","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/580bebc047322cc7965ae0543c54168a","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0},"themes":[],"htmlText":"👍","listText":"👍","text":"👍","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/606510189","repostId":"1102393012","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1102393012","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1638882198,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1102393012?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-12-07 21:03","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Toplines Before US Market Open on Tuesday","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1102393012","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"U.S. stocks looked set to open 1% higher on Tuesday as technology firms bounced back on easing conce","content":"
U.S. stocks looked set to open 1% higher on Tuesday as technology firms bounced back on easing concerns around the Omicron variant, while Intel jumped after plans to take its self-driving car unit public.
\n
At 8:00 a.m. ET, Dow e-minis were up 350 points, or 0.99%, S&P 500 e-minis were up 59.75 points, or 1.30%, and Nasdaq 100 e-minis were up 286.25 points, or 1.81%.
\n

\n
Big Tech stocks Google-owner Alphabet,Microsoft, Amazon,Meta Platform and Apple gained nearly 2%.
\n
Travel shares continued the momentum, with Carnival Corp and United Airlines up 3.6% and 3.4%, respectively, leading the gains among the major airlines and cruise operators.
\n
Oil stocks including Exxon Mobil and Chevron Corp gained, tracking gains in crude prices.
\n
Stocks making the biggest moves premarket:
\n
Intel(INTC) – The chip maker's shares surged 8% in premarket trading after it said it would take its Mobileye self-driving car unit public, planning a mid-2022 initial public offering. Though Wall Street seemed pleased with the recently completed quarter, the company's sales guidance for fiscal 2023 was essentially in-line with expectations. Since Salesforce has a habit of upping its sales forecast, investors appear worried about a growth slowdown and/or higher near-term costs associated with the recently completed Slack Technologies acquisition.
\n
While these might sound like tangible concerns, they're very short-sighted and don't affect the long-term growth trajectory for Salesforce.
\n
CRM software is a sustainable double-digit growth opportunity through at least the midpoint of this decade, if not well beyond. CRM software, which helps consumer-facing businesses enhance existing client relationships and improve sales, is a no-brainer solution for most service industry companies, but is quickly gaining utility in the financial, healthcare, and industrial sectors.
\n
Salesforce sits on a pedestal within the CRM software space, and no other company even comes close. When IDC examined global CRM spending for 2020, it found that Salesforce accounted for 19.5% of worldwide revenue. That's more than the four closest competitors behind it on a combined basis. This suggests the company isn't going to lose its competitive edge anytime soon.
\n
Growth investors will also appreciate CEO Marc Benioff's penchant for acquisitions. Key buyouts, such as MuleSoft, Tableau, and Slack, have expanded the usefulness of the Salesforce ecosystem, allowed the company to cross-sell its solutions on diverse platforms, and helped it reach a wider array of small-and-medium-sized businesses.
\n
With Benioff expecting full-year sales to grow from $21.3 billion to at least $50 billion in a five-year stretch, any significant pullback in Salesforce's shares represents a surefire buying opportunity.
\n
\n
Merck
\n
Value investors, this one's for you! Following a nearly 20% sell-off over the past month, shares of pharmaceutical stock Merck (NYSE:MRK) are now begging to be bought.
\n
\"Why the sell-off?\" you ask? The answer probably has to do with the early November-released trial results of Pfizer's (NYSE:PFE) COVID-19 oral antiviral treatment. Based on an interim analysis of a phase 2/3 trial, this oral treatment reduced the risk of hospitalization or death by 89% in non-hospitalized adult patients with COVID-19. Meanwhile, Merck's oral COVID-19 pill reduced the risk of hospitalization or death by approximately 50% in COVID-19 patients. Though these treatments weren't pitted head-to-head, the nominal efficacy award looks to go to Pfizer -- at least based on how investors have reacted since the data release.
\n
But here's the thing: Merck was worth buying well before it delivered encouraging phase 3 results from its oral antiviral study in COVID-19 patients. In fact, COVID-19 treatments don't even need to play a role for Merck to head higher, in my opinion.
\n
The front-and-center reason to be excited about Merck's future is cancer immunotherapy Keytruda. Based on the $4.53 billion in sales generated from Keytruda in the third quarter, it's on pace for more than $18 billion in annual run-rate revenue. If we exclude COVID-19 vaccines, this would make it the second best-selling drug in the world, behind only anti-inflammatory drug Humira. Keytruda is being examined in a number of additional trials (mostly as a combination treatment), which could further expand its label and make it the top-selling non-vaccine drug in the world.
\n
The other exciting growth trend Merck offers is its animal health division. Its focus on both livestock and companion animals has yielded consistent double-digit sales growth. But between the two, companion animals, such as cats and dogs, offer more upside. Year-over-year spending on pets in the U.S. hasn't declined in over a quarter of a century, and pet owners have shown they'll spend whatever is necessary to ensure the well-being of their furry family members.
\n
Following its recent tumble, Merck shares are now valued at a multiple of just 10 times Wall Street's forecasted earnings per share in 2022. That's a bargain for a company delivering steady sales growth.
\n
\n
Verizon
\n
Finally, for income investors, the third Dow stock begging to be bought in December is telecom behemoth Verizon (NYSE:VZ). Shares are down a hair over 10% in the trailing six-month period.
\n
There look to be two reasons why Verizon is down on its luck in recent months. First, investors have predominantly favored growth stocks over mature income plays. And second, Verizon has had to spend big on spectrum and infrastructure upgrades, which means it's carrying around quite a bit of debt. This debt could be keeping some investors on the sideline.
\n
But similar to Salesforce, the worries surrounding Verizon look to be either overblown or short-term in nature. The company has generated over $40 billion in operating cash flow over the trailing 12 months, and its dividend payout ratio is below 50%. Based on its balance sheet, Verizon's 5% yield is sustainable and its debt servicing is manageable.
\n
Despite being a mature business, Verizon has two organic growth catalysts that could fuel modest upside through mid-decade. First, there's the ongoing rollout of 5G wireless infrastructure. It's been a decade since wireless download speeds were meaningfully improved. The rollout of 5G should lead to a multiyear device upgrade cycle with a steady increase in data consumption. Since data is where Verizon derives its juiciest wireless margins, 5G infrastructure investments should begin paying off handsomely very soon.
\n
The other key growth driver for Verizon is in-home fixed wireless broadband services. Verizon has been an aggressive acquirer of 5G mid-band spectrum in 2021. The expectation is that Verizon can double the number of households it's servicing with fixed wireless broadband services from 15 million in 2021 to 30 million by the end of 2023.
\n
Verizon may not be the growth story it once was, but a 5% dividend yield and price-to-earnings ratio of a little over nine make it ripe for the picking.
","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
3 Dow Stocks Begging to Be Bought in December
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n3 Dow Stocks Begging to Be Bought in December\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-12-07 21:50 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
As you've probably noticed, volatility has picked up in a big way over the past two weeks. The expectation is that Verizon can double the number of households it's servicing with fixed wireless broadband services from 15 million in 2021 to 30 million by the end of 2023.\nVerizon may not be the growth story it once was, but a 5% dividend yield and price-to-earnings ratio of a little over nine make it ripe for the picking.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":473,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":606994856,"gmtCreate":1638806082573,"gmtModify":1638806132991,"author":{"id":"4087711900619250","authorId":"4087711900619250","name":"Moneywizpd","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/580bebc047322cc7965ae0543c54168a","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Pinterest, Inc.(PINS)$This is another wrong choice....","listText":"$Pinterest, Inc.(PINS)$This is another wrong choice....","text":"$Pinterest, Inc.(PINS)$This is another wrong choice....","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d72f85040f34bf6f957d71bd91e401bd","width":"1768","height":"3143"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/606994856","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":575,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":609647504,"gmtCreate":1638283126880,"gmtModify":1638283803375,"author":{"id":"4087711900619250","authorId":"4087711900619250","name":"Moneywizpd","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/580bebc047322cc7965ae0543c54168a","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Alibaba(BABA)$this stock is killing the portfolio :-(","listText":"$Alibaba(BABA)$this stock is killing the portfolio :-(","text":"$Alibaba(BABA)$this stock is killing the portfolio :-(","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/40ccb8d82de5ba9c9e1ad93b6bc36c54","width":"1768","height":"3143"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/609647504","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":774,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":609644133,"gmtCreate":1638283039762,"gmtModify":1638283039762,"author":{"id":"4087711900619250","authorId":"4087711900619250","name":"Moneywizpd","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/580bebc047322cc7965ae0543c54168a","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/609644133","repostId":"1131390643","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1131390643","pubTimestamp":1638231193,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1131390643?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-11-30 08:13","market":"us","language":"en","title":"5 Best Dividend Stocks to Buy for December","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1131390643","media":"US News","summary":"Investors are looking to close out another successful year with the S&P 500 index up about 25% in 20","content":"
Investors are looking to close out another successful year with the S&P 500 index up about 25% in 2021. On the heels of strong economic data, including the lowest level of jobless claims since 1969, it seems like a foregone conclusion to assume that the market will finish the year significantly ahead. But while share appreciation is important to growing your nest egg, many investors at or nearretirementneed to focus on income, too. The following five dividend stocks may not be as flashy as some of the high-flying names that have lit up Wall Street in the last year, but all have done pretty well lately on top of offering dividends of at least 3%. Here are the five best dividend stocks for December:
\n
-- Bridge Investment Group Holdings Inc. (ticker:BRDG)
\n
-- Clearway Energy Inc. (CWEN)
\n
-- Jackson Financial Inc. (JXN)
\n
-- Pfizer Inc. (PFE)
\n
-- Tanger Factory Outlet Centers Inc. (SKT)
\n
Bridge Investment Group Holdings Inc. (BRDG)
\n
While Bridge is the smallest stock on this list, it operates a strong real estate business and has a market cap of more than $500 million. It's also the youngest, as its initial public offering was held in July. Focused mainly on residential properties, the company has built senior living facilities and apartment complexes across the U.S. Risingreal estateprices in most markets have naturally helped BRDG's portfolio value and its ability to command higher rents. Those rents support a generous dividend, which will start in December at 24 cents per share. Admittedly, this is a new kid on the block, but it could be a stock to watch going forward.
\n
Dividend yield:4.5%
\n
Clearway Energy Inc. (CWEN)
\n
New Jersey-based utility Clearway is focused on natural gas, renewable energyand a small water utility business in the region. At just more than $4 billion in market cap, it's certainly not the largest publicly traded power and water provider out there. However, investing in these kinds of regional utilities is a tried-and-true strategy of long-term dividend investors who are OK with trading some growth potential for stability. And lest you think that means giving up any chance of share price appreciation, keep in mind CWEN stock has slightly outperformed the S&P 500 on the year on top of a generous 34-cent dividend that is up significantly from just 21 cents per quarter in mid-2020.
\n
Dividend yield: 3.5%
\n
Jackson Financial Inc. (JXN)
\n
Jackson is a $3 billion asset manager offering services that include annuities, managed funds and insurance products. Spun out offinancial giantPrudential this year, the stock doesn't have a long independent history -- but it does have a few recent headlines that are very encouraging. Some big announcements included a 50 cent dividend, which is the most generous of this lot of stocks, a $300 million stock buyback plan to support the share price and a recent $1.6 billion debt offering to fund future growth.
\n
Dividend yield:6%
\n
Pfizer Inc. (PFN)
\n
It may sound like an old recommendation at this point, but investors looking for the best dividend stocks right now should still consider Pfizer above many of the alternatives. That's because the initial pop in the stock caused by its COVID-19 vaccines has been more than just a flash in the pan. The latest catalyst is news that the Pfizervaccineis 100% effective in adolescents, opening the door for sustained applications that some analysts say will push revenue above $100 billion for the first time next year. Shares rose more than 15% in November on this news and are showing strong momentum as we close out 2021.
\n
Dividend yield:2.9%
\n
Tanger Factory Outlet Centers Inc. (SKT)
\n
A leading operator of discount outlet malls across the U.S., Tanger has come roaring back from its pandemic-related troubles in a big way with shares up more than four times their 2020 lows. This uptrend has been sustained across this year and kicked into high gear in November on the heels of tremendous earnings that showed better occupancy rates and higher margins on rent. The company beat expectations and raised guidance, and now shares are up more than 20% in the last month on top of offering a generous dividend.
\n
Dividend yield:3.6%
","source":"lsy1627705648360","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
5 Best Dividend Stocks to Buy for December
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n5 Best Dividend Stocks to Buy for December\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-11-30 08:13 GMT+8 US News\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Investors are looking to close out another successful year with the S&P 500 index up about 25% in 2021.
