As movie fans return to cinemas around the globe, the company's entertainment business will pick up too.</p>\n<p>In fact, if parks and movie theaters return to pre-COVID attendance levels, the company could add $26 billion in revenue in those segments alone (based on the last quarter before the pandemic began). That would positively impact DIS's valuation.</p>\n<p><b>2. Better Performance From Disney+</b></p>\n<p>Since its launch in 2019, Disney's streaming service, Disney+, has been a success. In just two short years, it has grabbed a huge market share and competed with industry giants such as Netflix&nbsp;and Amazon&nbsp;Prime Video.</p>\n<p>However, Disney+'s new subscriber growth slowed in 2021, even falling short of the company's own projections. That has caused shares to depreciate significantly since Disney's latest earnings reports.</p>\n<p>But subscriber growth can often be tied to new available content. Because of the pandemic, Disney was unable to keep up a steady pace of production. It's likely that negatively impacted the service's performance.</p>\n<p>With production studios returning to normal, Disney+ should see a growing number of new subscribers. AFP via Getty Images</span></p>\n<p>As technology stocks have led the market for the better part of a dozen years, there are now 15 companies in the sector that have risen to mega-cap status — those valued at $200 billion or more.</p>\n<p>Five are valued at more than $1 trillion, including electric-vehicle maker Tesla,which I consider a tech company.</p>\n<p>Bets have been placed on which companies will rise to a trillion next, with Meta Platforms&nbsp;— aka Facebook — at the top of most lists and&nbsp;Nvidia,sitting on top of mine as a call I made 14 months ago.</p>\n<p>Perhaps harder than rising from north of half a trillion to a trillion is rising from less than&nbsp;$200 billion&nbsp;to break the threshold into mega-cap status.</p>\n<p>However, a few companies look destined for this outcome precisely, and I believe three have an incredibly compelling case to get there within the next 12 to 18 months — if not sooner.</p>\n<p><b>1. ServiceNow:</b>&nbsp;ServiceNow&nbsp;has been on an incredible run for more than a decade. From 2010 to 2020, revenues grew at a 59.2% average annual rate, while its stock rose at 44% a year. The company finished the 2020 calendar year at about $4.5 billion in revenue, and its trailing 12 months have surged close to $5.5 billion.</p>\n<p>The company now has more than 1,266 customers with a million or more dollars in recurring revenue, and is seeing this number grow at a substantial rate, including 25% in its most recent quarter.</p>\n<p>Beyond the numbers, the company’s technology, which enables companies to automate and implement digital workflows, continues to prove robust and best of breed. The most recent release of its Rome platform, three additional acquisitions to expand its portfolio and a deepened partnership with Microsoft&nbsp;are just a few recent highlights that provide the company a pathway to growth that should accelerate based on trends including app modernization, hybrid work, workflow automation, and even enterprise ESG initiatives.</p>\n<p>It’s hard to see ServiceNow not providing the robust growth that will take its market cap above $200 billion.&nbsp;The company’s market value is about $138 billion as of Monday.</p>\n<p><b>2. Qualcomm:</b>Qualcomm’s&nbsp;strong earnings report released last week — earnings per share jumped 76% year over year and revenue rose 43% — helped drive the stock to over $160 from the low $120s in mid-October.</p>\n<p>Consequently, that took the company’s market cap from about $145 billion to over $180 billion in just a matter of days. It serves as a timely reminder of how quickly a tech company in the right markets can produce momentum.</p>\n<p>Qualcomm, while best known as a chip provider for mobile handsets, is rapidly becoming a much bigger force in many categories, including the internet of things (IoT), automotive and wireless RFFE. With IoT and wireless RFFE surpassing a billion dollars a quarter in revenue, and automotive reaching nearly a billion in annual revenue with a $10 billion design pipeline, the company is becoming increasingly diversified. Thirty-eight percent of revenue in its QCT semiconductor business is now unrelated to handsets.</p>\n<p>Perhaps these adjacent business successes alone could catapult the company’s market value to over $200 billion, but what Qualcomm also has going for it is an undisputable global market leadership in 5G, which will continue to accelerate its handset business, as well as all of its adjacencies and massive licensing business.</p>\n<p><b>3. AMD:</b>&nbsp;I’ve been critical at times of Advanced Micro Devices,and sometimes you have to lean into calls you get wrong. While Intel&nbsp;under new CEO Pat Gelsinger shows more ambition and clear direction, AMD under Lisa Su has been on an absolute tear.</p>\n<p>In August, Mercury Research reported that AMD’s 22.5% x86 market share was its best in 14 years. With 4.2% year-over-year market share growth in its second quarter and another 54% overall revenue growth in the third quarter, the company’s market share gains look likely to continue.</p>\n<p>While I do think Intel is quickly patching its gaps and going to be a much more robust competitor, I believe the overall demand for CPUs (central processing units), GPUs (graphics processing units) and FPGAs (field-programmable gate arrays) will drive a larger total addressable market, and AMD’s going to grow revenues even if market share gains level off.</p>\n<p>Speaking of FPGA’s, the impending Xilinx deal, which I believe will gain regulatory approval, hasn’t been accounted for by many investors.</p>\n<p>AMD’s market value rose to over $180 billion Monday after the stock surged more than 10%. The company on Monday announced a range of news, including the fact that Meta will use its Epyc processors in its data center computers.</p>\n<p>After those three, I would add Micron Technology&nbsp;as an honorable mention. The company sits at closer to $85 billion in market cap. Next, recall costs for faulty batteries in Chevy Bolt EVs&nbsp;were rising.</p>\n<p>GM stock got a boost in October when battery supplier&nbsp;LG Chem&nbsp;(051910.Korea) agreed to reimburse GM about $2 billion for recall costs.</p>\n<p>The auto maker’s stock got another boost that same month when management hosted an investor day, focusing on its long-term vehicle electrification and autonomous-driving goals. GM wants to double sales by 2030 off a base of $140 billion. That goal will be discussed on Wednesday, but near-term results won’t impact that goal.</p>\n<p>The semiconductor shortage persists. Investors have to balance the continuing shortage against high vehicle prices. Light-vehicle sales in the U.S. dropped about 13% in the third quarter. But auto dealers such as&nbsp;AutoNation&nbsp;(AN) and&nbsp;Lithia Motors&nbsp;(LAD) are blowing away Street earnings estimates because of high per-car profitability.</p>\n<p>Wall Street is looking for about $1 in per-share earnings from $26.4 billion in sales. Following $2.93 billion in full-year sales in 2020, Wall Street is forecasting $16.54 billion in annual sales by mid-decade. That's a 464% increase, for those of you keeping score at home.</p>\n<p>The beauty of the Shopify operating model is that it finds itself in the right place at the right time. Prior to 2020, businesses were shifting their presence online at a steady pace. But in the wake of the pandemic, businesses of all sizes have come to realize how important it is to have their products available for sale on e-commerce marketplaces. Known best for helping small merchants reach large audiences, Shopify estimates its total addressable market for small businesses is currently $153 billion. Thus, with $2.9 billion in sales last year and the company constantly innovating and introducing new tools, it's just scratching the tip of the iceberg in terms of its potential.</p>\n<p>What's more, Shopify is benefiting from its high-margin subscription-based services. Whereas entrepreneurs can take advantage of the company's basic services for $29 a month, it offers its core service to small businesses for $79/mo. to $299/mo., or its Shopify Plus service for $2,000/mo. to larger businesses. This is a company that shouldn't have any issue growing its operating margins over time.</p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://g.foolcdn.com/image/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fg.foolcdn.com%2Feditorial%2Fimages%2F646435%2Ftelemedicine-patient-doctor-physician-virtual-conference-healthcare-getty.jpg&amp;w=700&amp;op=resize\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"466\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"><span>Image source: Getty Images.</span></p>\n<h2>Teladoc Health: 356% implied sales growth by 2025</h2>\n<p>Another big-name stock on track to produce eye-popping sales growth over the next half-decade is telemedicine kingpin <b>Teladoc Health</b> (NYSE:TDOC). Last year, Teladoc generated $1.09 billion in sales. But by 2025, Wall Street's consensus has the company pegged for $4.98 billion in sales.</p>\n<p>There's little question that Teladoc Health benefited immensely from the COVID-19 pandemic. With physicians wanting to keep potentially sick and high-risk people out of their offices, demand for virtual visits soared.</p>\n<p>But this isn't a <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AONE.U\">one</a>-trick pony. What Teladoc is doing is fundamentally altering the personalized treatment landscape. While virtual services won't replace all in-person visits, it's far more convenient for patients, and it can help doctors keep better tabs on chronically ill patients. Ultimately, that's a recipe for improved patient outcomes and less money out of the pockets of health insurers.</p>\n<p>Teladoc also expects a serious long-term growth boost from the acquisition of leading applied health signals company Livongo Health. Livongo leans on artificial intelligence to send tips to its chronic care members to help them lead healthier lives. With a focus on diabetes, hypertension, and weight management, Livongo's services could cater to a large swath of the U.S. adult population.</p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://g.foolcdn.com/image/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fg.foolcdn.com%2Feditorial%2Fimages%2F646435%2Fretail-shopping-store-online-sale-smartphone-website-ecommerce-getty.jpg&amp;w=700&amp;op=resize\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"467\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"><span>Image source: Getty Images.</span></p>\n<h2>Sea Limited: 430% implied sales growth by 2024</h2>\n<p>Singapore-based <b>Sea Limited</b> (NYSE:SE) is expected to deliver such robust sales growth that it doesn't even need a full five years. With consensus estimates looking out to 2024, the company's sales are projected to more than quintuple to $23.2 billion from $4.38 billion in 2020.</p>\n<p>Sea's success is the result of three very different but rapidly growing segments. The first, digital entertainment, is the only one generating positive earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA). Sea had approximately 725 million quarterly active mobile game users in the June-ended quarter, 12.7% of which were paying customers.&nbsp; For some context, only about 2% of mobile gamers are being converted to paying customers industrywide.</p>\n<p>Second, and arguably the more intriguing segment, is its e-commerce platform Shopee. Shopee has consistently been the most downloaded shopping app in Southeastern Asia, and it managed $15 billion in gross merchandise value (GMV) on its platform in the second quarter. This $60 billion annual run-rate is a 500% increase from what it did in all of 2018 ($10 billion in GMV). E-commerce sales in the emerging market countries Shopee serves are still in the early stages of ramping up.</p>\n<p>Third, Sea's digital financial services segment has almost 33 million paying digital wallet customers. Since many of the markets Sea serves are underbanked, mobile wallets could be a key growth driver for the company.</p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://g.foolcdn.com/image/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fg.foolcdn.com%2Feditorial%2Fimages%2F646435%2Fsiblings-watch-tv-family-entertainment-show-network-getty.jpg&amp;w=700&amp;op=resize\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"466\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"><span>Image source: Getty Images.</span></p>\n<h2>Roku: 408% implied sales growth by 2025</h2>\n<p>Television streaming platform <b>Roku</b> (NASDAQ:ROKU) is yet another big-name stock on pace to more than quintuple sales in just five years. After bringing in $1.78 billion in full-year sales in 2020, Wall Street's consensus is calling for about $9.05 billion in revenue by 2025. That's an increase of 408%.</p>\n<p>Roku has two key catalysts in its sails. First, there's ongoing cord-cutting from consumers. Over a four-year stretch, the number of U.S. households with traditional cable, satellite, or telcoTV services has fallen by more than 21 million to 75.6 million, according to a report from NScreenMedia.com. Meanwhile, the number of households without these traditional services now stands at more than 50 million. The opportunity to provide these households with streaming content of their choosing, be it free or paid content, is clearly helping Roku win over customers (55.1 million active accounts, as of June 2021).</p>\n<p>But the more exciting opportunity for Roku is with programmatic digital ads. As consumers shift their viewing content from traditional cable and satellite to streaming providers, advertisers are responding by putting more of their budget to work with companies like Roku. More active accounts will give Roku increased ad pricing power, which in turn will it allow it grow its average revenue per user (ARPU) at a rapid clip. Sales for Moderna are expected to grow from a reported $803.4 million in 2020 to an estimated $13.7 billion by 2025. Based on analysts' consensus sales estimates, the following five big-name stocks are expected to increase their sales by 356% to as much as 1,605% by 2025.\nImage source: Getty Images.\nShopify: 464% implied sales growth by 2025\nThe first well-known hypergrowth stock that could deliver a jaw-dropping sales increase over the next five years is cloud-based e-commerce platform Shopify (NYSE:SHOP). Following $2.93 billion in full-year sales in 2020, Wall Street is forecasting $16.54 billion in annual sales by mid-decade. That's a 464% increase, for those of you keeping score at home.\nThe beauty of the Shopify operating model is that it finds itself in the right place at the right time. Prior to 2020, businesses were shifting their presence online at a steady pace. But in the wake of the pandemic, businesses of all sizes have come to realize how important it is to have their products available for sale on e-commerce marketplaces. Known best for helping small merchants reach large audiences, Shopify estimates its total addressable market for small businesses is currently $153 billion. Thus, with $2.9 billion in sales last year and the company constantly innovating and introducing new tools, it's just scratching the tip of the iceberg in terms of its potential.\nWhat's more, Shopify is benefiting from its high-margin subscription-based services. Whereas entrepreneurs can take advantage of the company's basic services for $29 a month, it offers its core service to small businesses for $79/mo. to $299/mo., or its Shopify Plus service for $2,000/mo. to larger businesses. This is a company that shouldn't have any issue growing its operating margins over time.\nImage source: Getty Images.\nTeladoc Health: 356% implied sales growth by 2025\nAnother big-name stock on track to produce eye-popping sales growth over the next half-decade is telemedicine kingpin Teladoc Health (NYSE:TDOC). Last year, Teladoc generated $1.09 billion in sales. But by 2025, Wall Street's consensus has the company pegged for $4.98 billion in sales.\nThere's little question that Teladoc Health benefited immensely from the COVID-19 pandemic. With physicians wanting to keep potentially sick and high-risk people out of their offices, demand for virtual visits soared.\nBut this isn't a one-trick pony. What Teladoc is doing is fundamentally altering the personalized treatment landscape. While virtual services won't replace all in-person visits, it's far more convenient for patients, and it can help doctors keep better tabs on chronically ill patients. Ultimately, that's a recipe for improved patient outcomes and less money out of the pockets of health insurers.\nTeladoc also expects a serious long-term growth boost from the acquisition of leading applied health signals company Livongo Health. Livongo leans on artificial intelligence to send tips to its chronic care members to help them lead healthier lives. With a focus on diabetes, hypertension, and weight management, Livongo's services could cater to a large swath of the U.S. adult population.\nImage source: Getty Images.\nSea Limited: 430% implied sales growth by 2024\nSingapore-based Sea Limited (NYSE:SE) is expected to deliver such robust sales growth that it doesn't even need a full five years. With consensus estimates looking out to 2024, the company's sales are projected to more than quintuple to $23.2 billion from $4.38 billion in 2020.\nSea's success is the result of three very different but rapidly growing segments. The first, digital entertainment, is the only one generating positive earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA). Sea had approximately 725 million quarterly active mobile game users in the June-ended quarter, 12.7% of which were paying customers.  For some context, only about 2% of mobile gamers are being converted to paying customers industrywide.\nSecond, and arguably the more intriguing segment, is its e-commerce platform Shopee. Shopee has consistently been the most downloaded shopping app in Southeastern Asia, and it managed $15 billion in gross merchandise value (GMV) on its platform in the second quarter. This $60 billion annual run-rate is a 500% increase from what it did in all of 2018 ($10 billion in GMV). E-commerce sales in the emerging market countries Shopee serves are still in the early stages of ramping up.\nThird, Sea's digital financial services segment has almost 33 million paying digital wallet customers. Since many of the markets Sea serves are underbanked, mobile wallets could be a key growth driver for the company.\nImage source: Getty Images.\nRoku: 408% implied sales growth by 2025\nTelevision streaming platform Roku (NASDAQ:ROKU) is yet another big-name stock on pace to more than quintuple sales in just five years. After bringing in $1.78 billion in full-year sales in 2020, Wall Street's consensus is calling for about $9.05 billion in revenue by 2025. That's an increase of 408%.\nRoku has two key catalysts in its sails. First, there's ongoing cord-cutting from consumers. Over a four-year stretch, the number of U.S. households with traditional cable, satellite, or telcoTV services has fallen by more than 21 million to 75.6 million, according to a report from NScreenMedia.com. Meanwhile, the number of households without these traditional services now stands at more than 50 million. The opportunity to provide these households with streaming content of their choosing, be it free or paid content, is clearly helping Roku win over customers (55.1 million active accounts, as of June 2021).\nBut the more exciting opportunity for Roku is with programmatic digital ads. As consumers shift their viewing content from traditional cable and satellite to streaming providers, advertisers are responding by putting more of their budget to work with companies like Roku. More active accounts will give Roku increased ad pricing power, which in turn will it allow it grow its average revenue per user (ARPU) at a rapid clip. AFP via Getty Images</span></p>\n<p>As technology stocks have led the market for the better part of a dozen years, there are now 15 companies in the sector that have risen to mega-cap status — those valued at $200 billion or more.</p>\n<p>Five are valued at more than $1 trillion, including electric-vehicle maker Tesla,which I consider a tech company.</p>\n<p>Bets have been placed on which companies will rise to a trillion next, with Meta Platforms&nbsp;— aka Facebook — at the top of most lists and&nbsp;Nvidia,sitting on top of mine as a call I made 14 months ago.</p>\n<p>Perhaps harder than rising from north of half a trillion to a trillion is rising from less than&nbsp;$200 billion&nbsp;to break the threshold into mega-cap status.</p>\n<p>However, a few companies look destined for this outcome precisely, and I believe three have an incredibly compelling case to get there within the next 12 to 18 months — if not sooner.</p>\n<p><b>1. ServiceNow:</b>&nbsp;ServiceNow&nbsp;has been on an incredible run for more than a decade. From 2010 to 2020, revenues grew at a 59.2% average annual rate, while its stock rose at 44% a year. The company finished the 2020 calendar year at about $4.5 billion in revenue, and its trailing 12 months have surged close to $5.5 billion.</p>\n<p>The company now has more than 1,266 customers with a million or more dollars in recurring revenue, and is seeing this number grow at a substantial rate, including 25% in its most recent quarter.</p>\n<p>Beyond the numbers, the company’s technology, which enables companies to automate and implement digital workflows, continues to prove robust and best of breed. The most recent release of its Rome platform, three additional acquisitions to expand its portfolio and a deepened partnership with Microsoft&nbsp;are just a few recent highlights that provide the company a pathway to growth that should accelerate based on trends including app modernization, hybrid work, workflow automation, and even enterprise ESG initiatives.</p>\n<p>It’s hard to see ServiceNow not providing the robust growth that will take its market cap above $200 billion.&nbsp;The company’s market value is about $138 billion as of Monday.</p>\n<p><b>2. Qualcomm:</b>Qualcomm’s&nbsp;strong earnings report released last week — earnings per share jumped 76% year over year and revenue rose 43% — helped drive the stock to over $160 from the low $120s in mid-October.</p>\n<p>Consequently, that took the company’s market cap from about $145 billion to over $180 billion in just a matter of days. It serves as a timely reminder of how quickly a tech company in the right markets can produce momentum.</p>\n<p>Qualcomm, while best known as a chip provider for mobile handsets, is rapidly becoming a much bigger force in many categories, including the internet of things (IoT), automotive and wireless RFFE. With IoT and wireless RFFE surpassing a billion dollars a quarter in revenue, and automotive reaching nearly a billion in annual revenue with a $10 billion design pipeline, the company is becoming increasingly diversified. Thirty-eight percent of revenue in its QCT semiconductor business is now unrelated to handsets.</p>\n<p>Perhaps these adjacent business successes alone could catapult the company’s market value to over $200 billion, but what Qualcomm also has going for it is an undisputable global market leadership in 5G, which will continue to accelerate its handset business, as well as all of its adjacencies and massive licensing business.</p>\n<p><b>3. AMD:</b>&nbsp;I’ve been critical at times of Advanced Micro Devices,and sometimes you have to lean into calls you get wrong. While Intel&nbsp;under new CEO Pat Gelsinger shows more ambition and clear direction, AMD under Lisa Su has been on an absolute tear.</p>\n<p>In August, Mercury Research reported that AMD’s 22.5% x86 market share was its best in 14 years. With 4.2% year-over-year market share growth in its second quarter and another 54% overall revenue growth in the third quarter, the company’s market share gains look likely to continue.</p>\n<p>While I do think Intel is quickly patching its gaps and going to be a much more robust competitor, I believe the overall demand for CPUs (central processing units), GPUs (graphics processing units) and FPGAs (field-programmable gate arrays) will drive a larger total addressable market, and AMD’s going to grow revenues even if market share gains level off.</p>\n<p>Speaking of FPGA’s, the impending Xilinx deal, which I believe will gain regulatory approval, hasn’t been accounted for by many investors.</p>\n<p>AMD’s market value rose to over $180 billion Monday after the stock surged more than 10%. The company on Monday announced a range of news, including the fact that Meta will use its Epyc processors in its data center computers.</p>\n<p>After those three, I would add Micron Technology&nbsp;as an honorable mention. The company sits at closer to $85 billion in market cap. The company finished the 2020 calendar year at about $4.5 billion in revenue, and its trailing 12 months have surged close to $5.5 billion.\nThe company now has more than 1,266 customers with a million or more dollars in recurring revenue, and is seeing this number grow at a substantial rate, including 25% in its most recent quarter.\nBeyond the numbers, the company’s technology, which enables companies to automate and implement digital workflows, continues to prove robust and best of breed. The most recent release of its Rome platform, three additional acquisitions to expand its portfolio and a deepened partnership with Microsoft are just a few recent highlights that provide the company a pathway to growth that should accelerate based on trends including app modernization, hybrid work, workflow automation, and even enterprise ESG initiatives.\nIt’s hard to see ServiceNow not providing the robust growth that will take its market cap above $200 billion. The company’s market value is about $138 billion as of Monday.\n2. Qualcomm:Qualcomm’s strong earnings report released last week — earnings per share jumped 76% year over year and revenue rose 43% — helped drive the stock to over $160 from the low $120s in mid-October.\nConsequently, that took the company’s market cap from about $145 billion to over $180 billion in just a matter of days. It serves as a timely reminder of how quickly a tech company in the right markets can produce momentum.\nQualcomm, while best known as a chip provider for mobile handsets, is rapidly becoming a much bigger force in many categories, including the internet of things (IoT), automotive and wireless RFFE. With IoT and wireless RFFE surpassing a billion dollars a quarter in revenue, and automotive reaching nearly a billion in annual revenue with a $10 billion design pipeline, the company is becoming increasingly diversified. Thirty-eight percent of revenue in its QCT semiconductor business is now unrelated to handsets.\nPerhaps these adjacent business successes alone could catapult the company’s market value to over $200 billion, but what Qualcomm also has going for it is an undisputable global market leadership in 5G, which will continue to accelerate its handset business, as well as all of its adjacencies and massive licensing business.\n3. AMD: I’ve been critical at times of Advanced Micro Devices,and sometimes you have to lean into calls you get wrong. While Intel under new CEO Pat Gelsinger shows more ambition and clear direction, AMD under Lisa Su has been on an absolute tear.\nIn August, Mercury Research reported that AMD’s 22.5% x86 market share was its best in 14 years. With 4.2% year-over-year market share growth in its second quarter and another 54% overall revenue growth in the third quarter, the company’s market share gains look likely to continue.\nWhile I do think Intel is quickly patching its gaps and going to be a much more robust competitor, I believe the overall demand for CPUs (central processing units), GPUs (graphics processing units) and FPGAs (field-programmable gate arrays) will drive a larger total addressable market, and AMD’s going to grow revenues even if market share gains level off.\nSpeaking of FPGA’s, the impending Xilinx deal, which I believe will gain regulatory approval, hasn’t been accounted for by many investors.\nAMD’s market value rose to over $180 billion Monday after the stock surged more than 10%. The company on Monday announced a range of news, including the fact that Meta will use its Epyc processors in its data center computers.\nAfter those three, I would add Micron Technology as an honorable mention. The company sits at closer to $85 billion in market cap. As movie fans return to cinemas around the globe, the company's entertainment business will pick up too.</p>\n<p>In fact, if parks and movie theaters return to pre-COVID attendance levels, the company could add $26 billion in revenue in those segments alone (based on the last quarter before the pandemic began). That would positively impact DIS's valuation.</p>\n<p><b>2. Better Performance From Disney+</b></p>\n<p>Since its launch in 2019, Disney's streaming service, Disney+, has been a success. In just two short years, it has grabbed a huge market share and competed with industry giants such as Netflix&nbsp;and Amazon&nbsp;Prime Video.</p>\n<p>However, Disney+'s new subscriber growth slowed in 2021, even falling short of the company's own projections. That has caused shares to depreciate significantly since Disney's latest earnings reports.</p>\n<p>But subscriber growth can often be tied to new available content. Because of the pandemic, Disney was unable to keep up a steady pace of production. It's likely that negatively impacted the service's performance.</p>\n<p>With production studios returning to normal, Disney+ should see a growing number of new subscribers. GM stock has fallen from about $58 a share just before second-quarter earnings to about $47 a share before bounding back and trading north of $59 early in October. Shares were roughly flat, at $57.73, in recent trading. The S&amp;P 500 was up 0.7%.</p>\n<p>Second-quarter operating profits beat expectations, but guidance for second-half 2021 earnings sunk the shares, disappointing investors. Two things dragged guidance down. First, the global semiconductor shortage constraining car production wasn’t abating. Next, recall costs for faulty batteries in Chevy Bolt EVs&nbsp;were rising.</p>\n<p>GM stock got a boost in October when battery supplier&nbsp;LG Chem&nbsp;(051910.Korea) agreed to reimburse GM about $2 billion for recall costs.</p>\n<p>The auto maker’s stock got another boost that same month when management hosted an investor day, focusing on its long-term vehicle electrification and autonomous-driving goals. GM wants to double sales by 2030 off a base of $140 billion. That goal will be discussed on Wednesday, but near-term results won’t impact that goal.</p>\n<p>The semiconductor shortage persists. Investors have to balance the continuing shortage against high vehicle prices. Light-vehicle sales in the U.S. dropped about 13% in the third quarter. But auto dealers such as&nbsp;AutoNation&nbsp;(AN) and&nbsp;Lithia Motors&nbsp;(LAD) are blowing away Street earnings estimates because of high per-car profitability.</p>\n<p>Wall Street is looking for about $1 in per-share earnings from $26.4 billion in sales. GM reported $1.97 in adjusted per-share earnings from $34.2 billion in sales.</p>\n<p>This time around, options markets are implying about a 5% move, up or down, following GM’s earnings report.</p>\n<p>“Results—sales, margins, working cap, [free cash flow]—will unlikely be pretty,” wrote RBC analyst Joseph Spak in an industry earnings preview report back in late September. He is still positive on auto-maker stocks, as auto sales should pick up in 2022 after the semiconductor shortage abates.
