Costco is one of those "boring" defensive stocks that will continue to do well year after year. It is well managed and is a dividend machine. Still if you have a limited budget, you may want to consider $Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund(XLP)$which includes Costco, Walmart and Procter & Gamble. It is low cost and well diversified.
